Yet again, the Tarzan ad for WWF, composited by WizArts Inc., has won an award
This time it is the renowned London International Award., also known as the LIA award. The Tarzan ad was awarded silver in the category Print - Public Service/Social Welfare. The LIA award honours preeminent work in Advertising, Design, and Digital Media. The LIA award show is held annually in November, and this year there were more than 17.000 submissions. From these about 8 percent were selected as nominees, and of those 1.4 percent attained silver status and 0.5 percent were awarded gold status. Two Danish advertising agencies were recognised for their superior entries: Saatchi & Saatchi’s entry “Save Paper, Save The Planet” for WWF was honored with a Gold Statue in Poster & Outdoor, and Uncle Grey’s submission “Tarzan”, composited by WizArts Inc., won a Silver Statue in Print with the Tarzan ad for WWF. The President of London International Awards, Barbara Levy, said “It is clear that Denmark is still producing some very sophisticated work that is impacting the advertising industry as a whole.
